About Me

Hi, I’m Rich Oliver, a science fiction and fantasy author, photographer, and creator of the Guardians of Reality series.

Writing has been a lifelong passion. Over the years, I have published novels, nonfiction books, short stories, poetry, and articles. For more than twenty-five years, I have also photographed the wildflowers, landscapes, and hidden beauty of Texas.

My stories blend science, faith, love, mystery, and the question of what makes us truly human. Although my fiction reaches across time, technology, and reality itself, its heart remains rooted in Texas and in the people, places, and experiences that shaped me.

Beyond The Books

My creative work began long before the Guardians of Reality series. For more than twenty-five years, I have photographed the wildflowers, landscapes, and changing seasons of Texas. I have also published five nonfiction books about my wildflower journeys.

That same attention to place, light, memory, and human connection shapes my fiction. My stories move through science fiction and fantasy, but they remain grounded in recognizable people, difficult choices, and the belief that love can survive even under storm conditions.
